‘Retrace - Scripting Memory’ started the deep process of exploring loss and trace, through work examining the artist’s personal experiences of loss, which were opened up through participatory pieces. These works used metaphors of overwriting, erasure and ephemerality to engage the viewer and make the participant complicit in a process of making or unmaking the work.
